„Szwedzki Mauser” to rodzina karabinów powtarzalnych oparta na ulepszonym wariancie wcześniejszego modelu Mausera 1893, ale wykorzystująca nabój 6,5×55mm i zawierająca unikalne elementy konstrukcyjne zgodnie z życzeniem Szwecji. Są to karabinek m/94 (model 1894) , długi karabin m/96 (model 1896), krótki karabin m/38 (model 1938) i karabin snajperski m/41 (model 1941). Produkcja rozpoczęła się w 1898 roku w Carl Gustafs stads Gevärsfaktori w Eskilstuna w Szwecji. Standardowa produkcja w Carl Gustafs trwała do 1925 r.

Wszystkie szwedzkie Mausery, niezależnie od tego, czy zostały wyprodukowane w Niemczech, czy w Szwecji, zostały zrobione przy użyciu dostarczonej ze Szwecji wysokiej jakości stali zawierającej nikiel, miedź i wanad, produkt znany wówczas ze swojej wytrzymałości i odporności na korozję.

Prezentowany egzemplarz to model m/1938 – bliźniaczy model 98K. Broń w bardzo dobrym stanie, przewód lufy średni. Egzemplarz z lunetą Euro class x9.
