FR8 to zmodernizowane w Hiszpanii (w latach pięćdziesiątych) karabinki Mauser M43. Ta modernizacja polegała głównie na zmianie kalibru broni ze standardowego 8x57IS na natowski 7,62x51, oraz montażu tłumika ognia, który jednocześnie pełnił funkcję garłacza do wystrzeliwania natowskich granatów nasadkowych kal.22 mm.

Oferowany tutaj egzemplarz jest fosfatowany na szaro, co jest typowe dla takich modernizacji. Powierzchnia części stalowych jest chropowata, co spowodowane jest oczyszczeniem jej przed remontem. Produkcja arsenału La Coruna z roku 1955.

Stan bardzo dobry, obecne są ślady normalnego używania. Trzewik kolby musiał mieć ślady korozji, został więc przez kogoś bezceremonialnie wyczyszczony papierem ściernym.
