Jest to licencyjna produkcja argentyńska amerykańskiego Colta M1911 przeznaczona dla armii oraz policji argentyńskiej. Oficjalna nazwa, pod jaką wprowadzono go do uzbrojenia, to Pistola Automatica Calibre .45 Ballester-Rigaud, Modelo DGME 1938.

Numer seryjny wskazuje na produkcję z roku 1946.

Egzemplarz przeznaczony dla argentyńskiej marynarki wojennej ("Armada Argentina" - wcześniej stosowano oznaczenie "Armada Nacional").

Oksyda w dużej części wytarta, ale ORYGINALNA (fabryczna). W przypadku tego modelu broni najczęściej mamy do czynienia z remontami, więc z oksydą wtórną. Pistolet zgodny numerycznie, łącznie z magazynkiem - co stanowi kolejną zaletę.
