Why choose a Taper Crimp? A taper crimp is essential for pistol calibers that headspace on the case rim. It offers significant benefits for your shooting performance:
Higher Accuracy: By gripping the bullet more firmly at the case mouth, the initial pressure builds to an optimal level before the bullet starts moving.
Uniform Pressure Curve: This controlled starting pressure ensures consistent powder combustion, resulting in a more uniform pressure curve.
Consistent Muzzle Velocity: By minimizing pressure variations, you reduce velocity spread (standard deviation), which is essential for tight groups on the target.
Reliable Feeding: The smooth finish of the case mouth ensures reliable feeding from the magazine into the chamber.
Features of the Lee #90781:
Caliber: Suitable for both .38 Special / .357 Magnum.
Material: Made from high-quality steel for a long service life.
Easy to Use: Easy to adjust, even for beginner reloaders.
Result: Professional ammunition that meets the highest standards for both sport and recreational shooting.
Tip: Use the Taper Crimp Die as the final step in your reloading process for the best and most consistent results.
