Ten opzichte van zijn voorganger CQ50L heeft hij een beduidend grotere gevoeligheid, wat betekent dat er meer details te zien zijn. Het display is groter en het HSIS (HikMicro Shutterless Image System) zorgt ervoor dat de warmtebeeldkijker zich geluidloos en razendsnel aanpast aan de hoeveelheid binnenkomende infrarode straling, zonder klikjes of vertragingen.
