Para proporcionar una fiabilidad mejorada, el Extractor a Prueba de Fallos de Apex Tactical está mecanizado con alambre-EDM para tener tolerancias de precisión más ajustadas de lo que es posible a través de prácticas de mecanizado convencionales. En particular, las superficies de contacto específicas y el diseño del extractor con gancho se forman con precisión a través de este proceso de ingeniería. El resultado es que el Extractor a Prueba de Fallos de Apex Tactical está garantizado para encajar en todas las pistolas Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 de fábrica, calibradas en 9mm, .40 S&W y .45 ACP.
