La tecnología Xtreme Defense (XD) se basa en la popular línea de productos Xtreme Penetrator de LeHigh. El objetivo del diseño era lograr el mismo rendimiento ante barreras y una cavidad permanente masiva en la herida, y reducir la profundidad de penetración para coincidir con el nivel de comodidad personal de un individuo. Geometría progresiva de la punta con un rango de profundidad de penetración de 18 pulgadas. Una cavidad en la herida permanente (PWC) que es 2 veces mayor que cualquier bala expansiva. Una PWC cercana a la de un rifle 5.56. Retroceso reducido. Mecanizado CNC a partir de cobre sólido para superar las barreras de penetración. Flautas radiales que dirigen la energía hidráulica hacia el interior para construir presión. Área superficial mínima para aumentar la fuerza en el punto de contacto y bordes cortantes afilados que vencen las barreras.
