La goupille de rétention du percuteur, le firing pin retaining pin, est la petite goupille qui empêche le percuteur de sortir du porte-culasse. Pièce minuscule mais essentielle : sans elle, le porte-culasse ne tient pas assemblé. C’est un consommable qu’on remplace dès qu’il montre du jeu ou une déformation.
Rôle dans le mécanisme
Glissée dans un perçage transversal du porte-culasse, cette goupille passe derrière la collerette du percuteur. Elle bloque le percuteur en translation tout en le laissant libre de coulisser sur sa course de percussion. Au démontage de la culasse, c’est la première pièce qu’on retire, et elle se déforme parfois à force de manipulations.
Matiere et compatibilite
Acier traité, conçu pour résister aux retraits et remises en place répétés. Aux cotes Mil-Spec, elle s’adapte aux porte-culasses AR-15 / M4 standard. Vu son prix et sa criticité, on conseille d’en garder quelques-unes d’avance dans la mallette d’entretien.
