Il dies X-Sizer è un dies ricalibratore a lunghezza totale progettato in modo esclusivo per i bossoli bottleneck. Questo dies non solo dimensiona il bossolo in tutta la sua lunghezza, ma limita anche la crescita del bossolo. In questo modo si elimina la necessità di ripetere la trimmatura dopo una prima trimmatura per standardizzare il bossolo. Questo dies non è destinato ad accorciare la lunghezza del bossolo, anzi, man mano che il bossolo cresce, il mandrino riduce il normale tasso di crescita. Questo è il risultato del contatto tra la bocca del bossolo in entrata e il fermo del mandrino durante il ridimensionamento. I bossoli ripetutamente dimensionati nel dies X-Sizer cresceranno inizialmente di qualche millesimo di pollice, per poi stabilizzarsi al di sotto della lunghezza massima del bossolo. L'uso del dies X-Sizer elimina la necessità di trimmatura dopo ogni colpo. I dies X-Sizer possono essere utilizzati per il dimensionamento dell'intera lunghezza con o senza la caratteristica X.
