COLT 1911-A1
Arma prodotta dalla Colt nell'agosto del 1944 e facente parte di un lotto di 12.531 unità: l'esemplare in oggetto venne poi inserito in un lotto di 1.000 pistole che fu inviato al Transportation Officer - Springfield Armory l'1/9/1944 per poi essere destinato ai reparti (Unità e impieghi operativi non noti). L'arma verrà poi sottoposta nei primi anni '50 a riarsenalizzazione (marchio arsenale "AA" sul lato sinistro del fusto) con sostituzione del carrello tramite un esemplare realizzato dalla Remington e sottoposto a trattamento termico di irrobustimento nella parte anteriore e intorno alla sede di blocco dell'hold open. I carrelli Remington furono scelti per la buona qualità costruttiva e robustezza: pratica riscontrata su un considerevole numero di esemplari che furono inviati nel Sud-Est asiatico e utilizzato da unità degli Stati Uniti, della Repubblica del Sud Vietnam e delle "Free World Forces" (Australia, Nuova Zelanda, Sud Corea e Thailandia). Punzonature di controllo sono visibili sul lato sinistro alto della guardia del grilletto: parziale di Verfied Proof ("Vp") incluso in un triangolo e numeri/sigle di ispettore su vari componenti. Le guancette sono in fibra con rinforzo a croce interno provviste di numero identificativo corretto (5564062 destra) e (5564063 sinistra) e comuni per le armi impiegate in Sud Vietnam; il caricatore mostra la sigla "S" sul lato superiore del "labbro" identificativa del produttore Scovill Mfa Co. Il carrello è marcato sul lato sinistro su 2 righe con dicitura "REMINGTON RAND INC - SYRACUSE. NY. U.S.A." Il lato destro del fusto mostra, oltre ai punzoni del BNP italiano, le seguenti diciture: "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" - "N° 1639XXX" - "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY". Canna in calibro 45 Acp con matricola 10XXX: la matricola fu imposta su tutti gli esemplari di 1911-A1 dei lotti importati dalla Adler/N.Jager. Questo esemplare faceva parte di un lotto di "1911" Us Army importate da Armando Piscetta, quando si recò in Vietnam per l'acquisto di alcune quantità di armi ex-ordinanza utilizzate nel conflitto in quell'area.
