ENFIELD N.4 Mk I*
Ex ordinanza britannico, l'Enfield N. 4 Mk I fu adottato ufficialmente nel 1939 ed entrato in produzione di massa nel 1941 come principale arma d'ordinanza delle forze del Commonwealth durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Sviluppato a partire dal leggendario SMLE No.1 Mk III della Grande Guerra, il N. 4 fu ridisegnato per semplificare la produzione industriale e migliorarne le capacità balistiche. La versione N. 4 Mk I*, individua la gli esemplari prodotti in Nord America (da Savage-Stevens negli USA per il piano Lend-Lease e da Long Branch in Canada).
Tra il 1939 e il 1960 la produzione di Enfield N.4, distribuita tra i vari produttori, è stata di circa 4,5 milioni di esemplari; l'enorme diffusione dell'arma e venute meno le esigenze militari con la fine della Seconda Guerra Mondiale ha fatto sì che molti fucili dismessi venissero "sporterizzati" per la vendita sul mercato civile mediante la modifica della calciatura e la rimozione di fascette e attacchi baionetta, ottenendo armi più leggere e consone per la caccia e il tiro
