The Krag-Jørgensen is a repeating rifle that was developed towards the end of the 19th century by artillery captain Ole Herman Johannes Krag, head of the state armory in Kongsberg, Norway, and his colleague Erik Jørgensen. The rifle was introduced as a service weapon by Denmark in 1889, followed by the United States in 1892, and later Norway. The distinctive feature of this rifle is its five-round magazine that is loaded from the side at the bottom.

Das Krag-Jørgensen ist ein Mehrladegewehr, das gegen Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts vom Artilleriehauptmann Ole Herman Johannes Krag, Vorsteher der staatlichen Waffenfabrik Kongsberg in Norwegen, und seinem Mitarbeiter Erik Jørgensen entwickelt wurde. Das Gewehr wurde 1889 von Dänemark als Ordonnanzwaffe eingeführt, 1892 folgten die Vereinigten Staaten, später Norwegen. Das besondere Merkmal dieses Gewehrs ist sein fünf Schuss fassendes von seitlich unten zu ladendes Magazin.
