However, the selection does not end with caliber. .17 and .20 use 5/40, the larger rifle/pistol variants 8/32, and the offered 12/16-gauge shotgun variant 5/16-27. So if you only look at the barrel size, you might end up with an incompatible cleaning rod despite the correct mop diameter.

Bore Tech manufactures the Proof-Positive Bore Mops from densely packed, 100% cotton.
