UTG TL-M47SR · AK/AKM Side Plate
Fixed steel base for a matching AK side mount – not a complete optic mount The UTG TL-M47SR is a steel dovetail side plate for compatible AK/AKM configurations. It forms the fixed receiver base on which a compatible side mount is then built.
Black-Raptor classification: The quality of the later optic setup depends entirely on receiver compatibility, position, and alignment of this base. Therefore, it is not a plug-and-play universal part.
Our honest buying advice
Fits well if … … a suitable AK/AKM receiver is properly prepared with a dovetail side base for an already defined side mount.
… the receiver type and the later mount are clearly determined in advance.
Fits less if … … you expect an immediately usable Picatinny top, a tool-free QD complete mount, or a universal solution without platform matching.
Clarify compatibility first
Receiver and mount are a system. The available product data list the side plate for compatible AK/AKM platforms and mention milled as well as stamped receivers as the application area. This does not replace matching the specific receiver and attachment points.
An unsuitable or crookedly mounted base cannot be “compensated” by the later side mount.
Features and practical effect
Steel dovetail base Robust fixed interface for compatible AK side mount systems.
Receiver mounting The plate is not the optic mount itself but the foundation for a separate matching side mount.
Multiple receiver types Milled and stamped receivers are mentioned in the available manufacturer data; the exact geometry remains decisive for purchase.
Compact base After correct mounting, the actual optic mount remains interchangeable as long as it fits the dovetail geometry.
Limits, disadvantages and avoiding bad purchases
Side plate with complete
Mixing up the mount: A Picatinny top is not included with this product.
Assume receiver compatibility only by model family: AK-/AKM systems can differ in receiver design and mounting.
Underestimating the mounting position: The orientation and position of the plate define the later reference for the entire side-mount setup.
Avoiding professional work: If drilling/mounting points or alignment are unclear, the installation should be done by a professional.

FAQ
Is the optic mount included? No. The side plate is only the fixed receiver base for a compatible side mount.
Is the plate universal for every AK? No. Receiver design, mounting points, and the later side mount must specifically match.
Is there already a Picatinny on top? No. A Picatinny top is created only by a separate compatible side mount.
Can the mount be installed without expertise? If position, orientation, or mounting points are not clearly defined, installation should be done by a professional.
Black Raptor · Purchase decision
The TL-M47SR is the right component if you want to build a fixed AK-/AKM dovetail base. If you are looking for a complete or immediately usable Picatinny mount, you need a different product or additionally a compatible side mount. (Show description in original language)
