Tatonka Fischerstuhl: Backpack and seat in one system
The Fischerstuhl combines around 20 litres of storage with an integrated seat. This is especially practical where you carry gear and regularly wait or observe on site.
Black-Raptor classification: The added value is the combination. For long trekking, a classic backpack is more flexible; for fishing, observation, or short sits, the integrated seating solution saves separate luggage.
Fits well / fits less well
Fits well if …
… you often switch between carrying and sitting while fishing, in the hunting area, or during nature observation.
… about 20 litres of storage for food and smaller gear is sufficient.
Fits less well if …
… you are looking for a full trekking backpack for long distances.
… maximum packing flexibility or a particularly large seat is more important.
Features & practical benefits
Integrated seat
With about 45 cm seat height, the seating is quickly available without having to carry a separate camping chair.
Aluminium frame
The frame takes over the supporting seating function. Before sitting down, a flat, stable surface remains crucial.
20 litres of storage
Enough for manageable gear, but no substitute for large touring backpacks. Pack so that hard objects don’t press into your back.
Main compartment with drawstring
Allows easy access and additional security of the contents.
Limits & avoiding bad purchases
g
The seat surface of approx. 26 × 22 cm is functional but compact. On soft, steeply sloping, or slippery ground, the system can become unstable. If you plan long hikes with a lot of gear, you should prioritise the comfort and volume of a regular trekking backpack.
Technical data with practical interpretation
42 × 25 × 14 cm Compact size for mobile use with frequent location changes.
approx. 20 l Suitable for smaller equipment, food, and accessories.
approx. 1.1 kg The weight already includes the seat construction and aluminium frame.
Seat Approx. 45 cm seat height and approx. 26 × 22 cm seat surface.
Scope of delivery
1× Tatonka Fischerstuhl with integrated aluminium frame and seat.
Safe use
Check the ground and stability before each sitting. Do not use on steep, slippery, or soft surfaces. Store heavy or sharp-edged items in the backpack so they do not press against your back or the seat construction.
FAQ
How high is the seat? The available product data states a seat height of about 45 cm. How big is the seat surface? About 26 × 22 cm. This is deliberately compact and designed for mobile use. Is the Fischerstuhl a trekking backpack? No. Its strength lies in the combination of a small backpack and seating function. For long tours with heavier loads, a classic trekking backpack is more sensible.
