The Cyclops 335L 3.0 thermal monocular from ThermTec delivers brilliant thermally generated images and also provides information about the distance of objects.

With the Cyclops 335L 3.0, ThermTec presents a new compact thermal monocular with a good performance profile and an integrated laser rangefinder. It is a practical hunting companion that not only delivers detailed and high-contrast thermal images of game up to 1,800 m but also indicates the correct distance for the optimal shot up to 1,000 m.

The Sensor
The monocular is equipped with a thermal sensor with a resolution of 384x288 px, a pixel pitch of 12 µm, and a NETD value of ≤15 mK. Combined with the large F0.8 aperture and the 35 mm lens, it ensures excellent thermal differentiation capability. The frame rate is 50 Hz, delivering outstanding images. The detection range of the monocular is 1,800 m, with a field of view of 13.2x9.9 m at 100 m.

The Display
The large 1,600×1,500 px AMOLED 0.5" display allows comfortable and eye-friendly viewing, with consistently brilliant image quality without flicker. It features a handy picture-in-picture function that shows a zoomed image of the observed object in a frame when needed, without losing the overview of the entire scene. Depending on individual needs and the observation situation, you can choose from 6 color palettes: white-hot, black-hot, red-hot, green, golden, and violet. Additionally, the two modes Forest and Target are available. A self-learning and adaptive AI technology optimizes the image correction algorithm with every calibration.

The Device
The Cyclops 335L 3.0 impresses with its excellent haptics. It fits well in the hand, which does not cramp even after extended use. The controls on the top are equally intuitive to operate with either hand, designed for one-handed use. Challenging environmental conditions pose no problem during observation, as the device housing is dust- and waterproof according to IP67. The replaceable and rechargeable Li-Ion 18650 battery allows a runtime of up to 7 hours, depending on the features used. The battery is easy and quick to replace at the bottom of the monocular. Charging is done with the included charger. A spare battery is also included in the scope of delivery.

Camera and Connectivity
The integrated camera allows observations to be documented as photos and videos with sound. The internal memory has a capacity of 64 GB. Using the ThermTec Outdoor App – available for iOS and Android – the thermal device connects to the mobile device via an integrated hotspot. The Cyclops 335L 3.0 can be remotely controlled via the app, which also contains all service and support options.

The Laser Rangefinder
The 905 nm laser rangefinder in safety class 1 is optimally integrated into the housing. It has a range of 1,000 m with a measurement accuracy of ±1 m.

Mit dem Cyclops 335L 3.0 präsentiert ThermTec ein neues kompaktes Wärmebild-Monokular mit einem guten Leistungsprofil und einem integrierten Laser-Entfernungsmesser. Damit ist es ein praktischer Jagdbegleiter, der nicht allein bis auf 1.800 m detail- und kontrastreiche Wärmebilder des Wilds liefert, sondern auch bis 1.000 m die korrekte Distanz für den optimalen Schuss angibt.

Der Sensor
Das Monokular ist mit einem Wärmebildsensor mit einer Auflösung von 384x288 px ausgestattet, der Pixelabstand beträgt 12 µm und der NETD-Wert ist ≤15 mK. In Kombination mit der großen F0,8-Blende und dem 35-mm-Objektiv ist ein ausgezeichnetes thermisches Differenzierungsvermögen gewährleistet. Je nach den individuellen Bedürfnissen und der Beobachtungssituation kann zwischen 6 Farbpaletten gewählt werden: weiß-heiß, schwarz-heiß, rot-heiß, grün, golden und violett. Außerdem stehen die beiden Modi Wald und Ziel zur Verfügung. Eine selbstlernende und sich anpassende KI-Technologie optimiert bei jeder Kalibrierung den Bildkorrekturalgorithmus.

Das Gerät
Das Cyclops 335L 3.0 überzeugt mit seiner ausgezeichneten Haptik. Es liegt gut in der Hand, die sich auch bei längerem Einsatz nicht verkrampft. Die Bedienelemente an der Oberseite sind mit links und rechts gleichermaßen intuitiv bedienbar, ihre Anordnung ist auf eine Einhandbedienung ausgelegt. Schwierige Umweltbedingungen stellen bei der Beobachtung kein Problem dar, das Gehäuse des Geräts ist staub- und wasserdicht gemäß IP67. Der austauschbare und wiederaufladbare Li-Ionen-18650-Akku ermöglicht eine Laufzeit von bis zu 7 Stunden, abhängig von den eingesetzten Features. Der Akku ist einfach und im Handumdrehen an der Unterseite des Monokular auswechselbar. Die Aufladung erfolgt in dem mitgelieferten Ladegerät. Auch ein Wechsel-Akku ist im Lieferumfang enthalten.

Kamera und Konnektivität
Mittels der integrierten Kamera können die Beobachtungen als Foto und als Video mit Ton dokumentiert werden. Der interne Speicher hat eine Kapazität von 64 GB.
