The Browning BAR 4X Hunter is excellent for both stand hunting and driven hunts. The semi-automatic rifle here features a composite thumbhole stock in left-hand configuration. The model has undergone an overall modification and shows several improvements compared to its predecessors, including the threaded connection between barrel and receiver. The interface is stiffer, and the stock’s bedding surface has been widened. With this BAR 4X Hunter Composite, you can choose between three calibers and the color of the stock.
The Stock
The composite thumbhole stock of the BAR 4X Hunter has inserts on the pistol grip, the grip surfaces of the fore-end, and the comb in contrasting colors. You can choose from the following combinations (base color / inserts):
The height-adjustable thumbhole stock with an Inflex2 recoil pad is ergonomically optimized, and the pistol grip feels very comfortable in the hand. The plastic is durable and easy to maintain, so you will still enjoy it after years and many hunts.
The System
The Active Valve system automatically regulates the gas pressure depending on the load you use. The manual cocking lever of the gas-operated action has also been improved. Its travel has been reduced by 25% to increase shooting comfort. The button is also wider. When pushing forward the cocking slider, the firing pin springs are tensioned; pressing again releases them. Combined with the 7 locking lugs of the rotary bolt, the rifle is absolutely safe to handle. The dry-standing and distortion-free Super Feather trigger system allows fast follow-up shots and high accuracy even from a stand and at long distances. The magazine release button is located directly in front of the trigger guard, allowing a quick magazine change. The magazine capacity is 4+1 (.308Win and .30-06Spring) or 3+1 (9,3x62).
The Barrel
The barrel length is 53 cm (21"). The barrel has no sights and is threaded M14x1 (.308Win and .30-06Spring) or M15x1 (9,3x62) for a suppressor or muzzle brake. You can choose between the calibers .308Win, .30-06Spring, and 9,3x62.

Die Browning BAR 4X Hunter eignet sich vorzüglich sowohl für die Jagd vom Ansitz aus als auch für die Bewegungsjagd. Die halbautomatische Büchse hat hier einen Composite-Lochschaft in der Linksausführung. Das Modell wurde insgesamt einer Modifikation unterzogen und weist gegenüber den Vorgängern einige Verbesserungen auf, unter anderem bei der Gewindeverbindung von Lauf und Gehäuse. Die Schnittstelle ist steifer, zudem wurde die Auflagefläche des Schafts verbreitert. Sie haben bei dieser BAR 4X Hunter Composite die Wahl zwischen drei Kalibern und bei der Farbe der Schäftung.
Der Schaft
Bei dem Composite-Lochschaft der BAR 4X Hunter sind die Einlagen an dem Pistolengriff, den Griffflächen des Vorderschafts und der Rücken farblich abgesetzt. Sie haben die Wahl zwischen folgenden Kombinationen (Grundfarbe / Einlagen):
Der höhenverstellbare Lochschaft mit einer Inflex2-Kappe ist ergonomisch optimal konstruiert und der Pistolengriff liegt haptisch sehr gut in der Hand. Der Kunststoff ist widerstandsfähig und einfach zu pflegen, so dass Sie auch nach Jahren und vielen Jagden noch Ihre Freude daran haben.
Das System
Das Active Valve-System reguliert automatisch den Gasdruck je nach der Ladung, die Sie verwenden. Auch der Handspanner des Gasdruckladers hat eine Verbesserung erfahren. Sein Weg wurde zur Erhöhung des Schießkomforts um 25 % reduziert. Der Knopf ist zudem breiter. Beim Vorschieben des Spannschiebers werden die Schlagstückfedern unter Spannung gesetzt, ein erneutes Drücken entspannt sie wieder. In Kombination mit den 7 Verriegelungswarzen des Drehkammerverschlusses ist das Gewehr absolut sicher zu handhaben. Das trocken stehendende und verzugsfreie Abzugssystem Super Feather-Trigger ermöglicht auch vom Ansitz und auf große Distanzen schnelle Schussfolgen und hohe Treffgenauigkeit. Der Magazinentnahmeknopf ist direkt vor dem Abzugsbügel angebracht, so dass ein schneller Magazinwechsel erfolgen kann. Die Magazinkapazität beträgt 4+1 (.308Win und .30-06Spring) bzw. 3+1 (9,3x62).
Der Lauf
Die Lauflänge beträgt 53 cm (21“). Der Lauf hat keine Visierung und ist mit einem M14x1- (.308Win und .30-06Spring) bzw. M15x1-Gewinde (9,3x62) für einen Schalldämpfer oder eine Mündungsbremse versehen. Sie können zwischen den Kalibern .308Win, .30-06Spring und 9,3x62 wählen.
