Der Smith & Wesson Model 27-2 ist ein hochwertiger Revolver, der für die Patrone .357 Magnum ausgelegt ist, aber auch .38 Special verschießen kann. Die Lauflänge beträgt ca. 15cm ( Zoll) und die Trommelkapazität beträgt 6 Schuss. Dieser Revolver gilt als eines der hochwertigsten Modelle der „N-Frame“ Revolverreihe von Smith & Wesson. Sie besitzt einen Nussbaum Match-Griff und das typische Fischgräten-Muster an der Trommel-Entriegelung und der Kimme. Die Waffe hat eine verstellbare Visierung, welches präzises Schießen ermöglicht. Die 27-2 wird oft von Sammlern gesucht, da sie für ihre hervorragende Verarbeitung und Präzision bekannt ist. Das Gewicht (ungeladen) beträgt ca. 1300 g
