Here is an absolutely original, MACHINED magazine box (magazine housing) for the Karabiner 98k, produced in 1942 by Mauser Oberndorf – code "byf". Not a stamped part – but completely machined from solid material, as was customary only in the early war years (up to around mid-1943) at Mauser. Later variants were stamped for cost reasons.

Manufacturing: Fully machined from steel block (recognizable by sharp edges, milling marks, and solid material thickness)

Hier ein absolut originaler, GEFRÄSTER Magazinkasten (Magazingehäuse) für den Karabiner 98k, produziert 1942 von Mauser Oberndorf – Code „byf“. Kein Blechprägeteil – sondern vollständig aus dem Vollen gefräst, wie es nur in den frühen Kriegsjahren (bis ca. Mitte 1943) bei Mauser üblich war. Spätere Varianten wurden aus Kostengründen gestanzt.

Fertigung: Vollgefräst aus Stahlblock (erkennbar an scharfen Kanten, Frässpuren und massiver Materialstärke)
