The model 740A was first introduced in 1955 and renamed model 742 in 1960.
It was introduced in various calibers such as .30-06, .243, .308, and .280 Rem.
It is manufactured in various deluxe and presentation qualities.
We manufacture an oversized 10-cartridge magazine for the listed calibers.
The magazine does not hold the bolt open after the last shot for the 7600 series rifle.
