The CX™ projectile (Copper Alloy eXpanding) from Hornady is an advanced lead-free and fragment-free monolithic hunting bullet. Its optimized design offers an extended effective range, better precision, higher retained weight, and greater penetration.
Mass-stable deformation bullet
The monolithic, lead-free and fragment-free bullet made from a copper alloy (Tombak) provides convincing momentary and penetration effects with a retained weight of 95+%.
Heat Shield® tip
The Heat Shield tip is made from a heat-resistant polymer that withstands aerodynamic heating and provides a consistently high BC throughout the bullet's trajectory. The Heat Shield tip also gives the bullet a perfect shape and extremely high bullet and load consistency.
Optimal groove geometry
The innovative relief grooves of the CX bullet improve aerodynamic performance while simultaneously reducing barrel deposits.
Lead-free and fragment-free for hunting

Massestabiles Deformationsgeschoss
Das monolithische, blei- und splitterfreie Geschoss aus einer Kupferlegierung (Tombak) bietet
überzeugende Augenblicks- und Tiefenwirkung mit einem Restgewicht von 95+%.
Heat Shield ® -Spitze
Die Heat Shield-Spitze besteht aus einem hitzebeständigen Polymer, das aerodynamischer
Erwärmung widersteht und einen konstant hohen BC für die gesamte Flugbahn des Geschosses
bietet. Die Heat Shield-Spitze verleiht dem Geschoss auch eine perfekte Form und eine extrem
hohe Geschoss- und Los-Konstanz.
Optimale Nutengeometrie
Die neuartigen Entlastungsrillen des CX-Geschosses verbessern die aerodynamische Leistung und
reduzieren gleichzeitig die Laufablagerungen.
