With the box lock manual cocking system, the B4 is relaxed and safely handled. The top-mounted trigger rods and safety catch rods, as well as the automatic decocking process when opening the bolt, provide additional safety. The classic combination with the proven shotgun caliber 12 is, for good reason, the most commonly carried 'combination'. The steel shot-proof shotgun barrel, in conjunction with the free-floating rifle barrel and the highly durable hunter's tilting block lock, is the universal solution for the hunting ground without weapon-related compromises. The 55 cm long, adjustable barrel bundle consists of a shotgun barrel and a free-floating rifle barrel for high precision and good warm shot behavior. It is factory-prepared for the Suhl tilting mount. For precise rifle shooting, the front trigger has a fine trigger (without set trigger). The stock with pistol grip, Bavarian cheek piece, and pig back is finished with a rubber butt plate. Basküle mit edler handgestochener Jagdgravur. Eine moderne, praxisgerechte Bockbüchsflinte mit Einschloss, Handspannung und freiliegendem Kugellauf - das ist das Konzept der Merkel B4 Bockbüchsflinte in der Ausführung Jagd. Mit dem Einschloss-Handspannersystem wird die B4 entspannt und sicher geführt. Die obenliegenden Abzugstangen und Sicherheitsfangstangen sowie der automatische Entspannvorgang beim Öffnen des Verschlusses geben zusätzliche Sicherheiten. Die klassische Kombination mit dem bewährten Schrotkaliber 12 ist aus gutem Grund die meistgeführte 'Kombinierte'. Der stahlschrotbeschossene Schrotlauf ist in Verbindung mit dem freischwingenden Kugellauf und dem hoch belastbaren Jäger-Kippblockverschluss die Universallösung für das Revier ohne waffenseitige Kompromisse. Das 55 cm lange, verstellbare Laufbündel besteht aus einem Schrotlauf und einem freischwingenden Kugellauf für hohe Präzision und gutes Warmschuss-Verhalten. Es ist serienmäßig für die Suhler Aufkipp-Montage vorbereitet. Für den präzisen Kugelschuss besitzt der vordere Abzug einen Feinabzug (ohne Rückstecher). Der Schaft mit Pistolengriff, bayerischer Backe und Schweinsrücken wird durch eine Gummischaftkappe abgeschlossen. System Fein gearbeitete Bockbüchsflinte mit Einschloss-System und Jäger-Kippblock-Verschluss, welcher Stahl auf Stahl schließt.
