Shrewsbury Schwert Dekoschwert with scabbard from the 15th century. The sword has the typical features of a traditional one-and-a-half-handed sword, also known as a bastard sword.
Blade double-edged and forged from hardened spring steel EN45. The diamond-shaped cross-section tapers towards the pointed tip and is hollow-ground on both sides. The wide fuller runs centrally over about half the blade length. The wooden grip is adorned with a brown leather wrapping and a steel pommel, including a brown wooden leather scabbard with mouth and tip plates made of steel.
Note: Carbon steel is not stainless and may show slight signs of corrosion. We recommend regularly maintaining the blade and the scabbard, e.g., with a universal oil that is excellent for caring for steel items.

Shrewsbury Schwert Dekoschwert mit Scheide aus dem 15. Jahrhundert. Das Schwert besitzt die typischen Merkmale eines traditionellen Anderthalbhandhänders auch Bastardschwert genannt.
Klinge zweischneidig und aus gehärtemt Federstahl EN45 geschmiedet. Der rautenförmigen Querschnitt verjüngt sich zum spitzen Ort hin und ist beidseitig gekehlt. Die breite Hohlkehle verläuft mittig über etwa die Hälfte der Klingenlänge. Das Holz Griffstück ist mit einer braunen Lederwicklung und einem Knauf aus Stahl verziert inklusive brauner Holzlederscheide mit Mund- und Ortblech aus Stahl

Kohlenstoffstahl ist nicht rostfrei und kann eventuell leichte Korrosionsspuren aufweisen. Wir empfehlen, die Klinge und die Scheide regelmäßig zu pflegen, z.B. mit einem Universalöl, das sich zum Plegen von Stahlwaren hervorragend eignet.
