German Morion Helmet from the second half of the 16th century including adjustable leather lining and chin strap.

The Morion is a historical helmet that was particularly common in Europe during the 16th and 17th centuries. It belongs to the family of plate helmets and is characterized by its high, curved shape and the distinctive, forward-leaning crest. The Morion was often worn by foot soldiers, especially by mercenaries and infantrymen.

Der Morion wurde häufig von Fußsoldaten, insbesondere von Landsknechten und Infanteristen, getragen.
