The OC 5000 pepper sprays are based on cayenne pepper, the oleoresin capsaicin. It has an immediate, strongly irritating effect on the nose, eyes, and mucous membranes, but is completely natural and non-toxic. In Germany, pepper spray is mainly used by the police against people, as it is more effective than CS spray and also works very reliably on intoxicated and drugged individuals.
Private individuals are only allowed to use pepper spray in Germany for defense against aggressive, attacking animals.

Auf Nase, Auge und Schleimhäute hat es eine sofortige, stark reizende Wirkung, ist aber völlig natürlich und ungiftig. in Deutschland wird hauptsächlich von der Polizei Pfefferspray gegen Menschen verwendet, da es wirksamer als CS-Spray ist und auch bei Alkoholisierten und unter Drogen stehenden Menschen sehr zuverlässig wirkt.
Privatpersonen dürfen Pfefferspray in Deutschland nur zur Abwehr von aggressiven, angreifenden Tieren eingesetzt werden.
