The Ballistol Aluminium-Primer is applied before bluing and allows for a deeper, more uniform oxidation layer. Bluing is a surface discoloration due to oxidation and not a coating, which is why careful pre-treatment is crucial. The primer is also suitable for special aluminum alloys and ensures an aesthetically pleasing, uniform result.
