The Leica Noctivid 8x42 models are characterized by their bright, high-contrast image even deep into twilight. This is achieved thanks to a large exit pupil and excellent contrasts. Large fields of view and perfect ergonomics ensure the steadiest visual impressions. Additionally, the wide field of view provides an unobstructed overview at close distances and deep insight into the distance. Complex, innovative aperture systems ensure minimal stray light and maximum contrast. A textured rubber armor provides a pleasant tactile feel, and the highly durable, patented special coating additionally protects the metal surfaces of the robust magnesium housing.
The outstanding imaging performance known from the Leica HD-Plus binoculars has been further improved in the Noctivid binoculars. The brilliant image is more contrast-rich and sharper. In addition to the prisms made of Schott HT™ glass, the anti-reflective coatings have also been optimized. These are applied to all lenses and prisms using the new high-temperature plasma process. All these refinements ensure that light passes through the binoculars with almost no loss across the entire visible spectrum. The Noctivid binoculars are exceptionally close to the point of absolute color neutrality (achromatic point) in color reproduction.
By changing the radii on the lens surfaces, sharpness has been significantly improved up to the edge of the field of view. In combination with the proven minimization of the globe effect in Leica binoculars and the sophisticated positioning of the apertures, an incomparably three-dimensional viewing experience is created. With a 19mm AP position and generously designed eyepieces, the Noctivid also offers an incredibly quick and pleasant view. With a close focus limit of 1.90 meters and extremely short focusing paths at greater distances, your observation target is never out of sight. Thanks to the thoughtful combination of various technologies and innovative concepts, the Noctivid offers an impressively natural viewing experience, as three-dimensional as with the human eye itself – just larger.
A textured rubber armor gives the bodies an extremely pleasant tactile feel and is simultaneously slip-resistant and shock-absorbing. A highly durable, patented special paint additionally protects the metal surfaces of the robust magnesium housing. The center of gravity of the binoculars has been positioned so that it lies directly in line with the wrist. This allows for long, relaxed observation. The simple one-handed grip of the binocular tubes offers you unprecedented freedom, whether for an umbrella or a walking stick – one hand is always free.

Die Leica Noctivid 8x42 Modelle zeichnen sich durch ihr lichtstarkes,helles Bild bis tief in die Dämmerung aus. Dies wird dank großer Austrittspupille und besten Kontrasten erreicht. Große Sehfelder und eine perfekte Ergonomie sorgen für ruhigste Bildeindrücke. Zudem bietet das große Sehfeld einen barrierefreien Überblick auf nahen Distanzen und tiefen Einblick in die Ferne. Komplexe, innovative Blendensysteme sorgen für minimales Streulicht und maximalen Kontrast. Eine griffige Gummi-Armierung verleiht eine angenehme Haptik, und die hochfeste, patentierte Spezialbeschichtung schützt die Metalloberflächen des robusten Magnesiumgehäuses zusätzlich.
Die von den Leica HD-Plus Ferngläsern bekannte, herausragende Abbildungsleistung wurde bei den Noctivid Ferngläsern noch weiter verbessert. Das brillante Bild ist kontrastreicher und schärfer. Neben den Prismen aus Schott HT™-Glas wurden außerdem die reflexmindernden Schichten optimiert. Diese werden in dem neuen Hochtemperatur-Plasmaverfahren auf alle Linsen und Prismen aufgetragen. All diese Verfeinerungen sorgen dafür, dass das Licht über das gesamte sichtbare Spektrum nahezu verlustfrei durch das Fernglas gelangt. Die Noctivid Ferngläser liegen in der Farbwiedergabe außergewöhnlich dicht an dem Punkt absoluter Farbneutralität (Unbuntpunkt).
Durch die Veränderung der Radien an den Linsenoberflächen wurde die Schärfe bis zum Sehfeldrand noch einmal deutlich verbessert. In der Kombination mit der in Leica Ferngläsern bewährten Minimierung des Globus-Effektes und ausgeklügelter Positionierung der Blenden entsteht so ein unvergleichlich plastisches Seherlebnis. Mit 19mm AP-Lage und großzügig gestalteten Okularen bietet das Noctivid außerdem einen ungemein schnellen und angenehmen Einblick.
