The MR223 is a semi-automatic self-loading rifle in caliber .223 Remington. It is the civilian version of the HK416, which is in service with numerous regular and specialized military and police forces. The MR223 is qualitatively equivalent to the HK416 and meets nearly all the requirements of its military counterpart. As an indirect gas-operated loader, the MR223 operates with the proven and reliable drive system of the G36. Unlike directly driven AR systems, the system housing of the MR223 remains almost clean while shooting. Thus, the MR223 continues to function smoothly even when other self-loading rifles have already malfunctioned and ceased operation.
The MR223 is available in barrel lengths of 11, 14.5, and 16.5 inches. The cold-hammered and hard-chromed precision barrels are free-floating and ensure top-notch accuracy. This applies to both competitive shooting disciplines and hunting. The Slim Line handguard with HKey interfaces fits precisely on the extended barrel nut and offers a variety of individual special equipment options. The retractable Slim Line stock makes the MR223 extremely maneuverable, and with detent positions, it can be optimally adjusted to the length of the body. The flared magazine well supports quick magazine changes and is compatible with NATO-STANAG standard magazines.
The ergonomic design of the MR223, with its ambidextrous controls, provides a balanced combination of handling and control. All operating functions are user-friendly and positioned for easy access. This enables quick transitions from right to left shooting positions, allowing for problem-free operation by left-handed shooters.

Das MR223 ist ein halbautomatisches Selbstladegewehr im Kaliber .223 Remington. Es ist die zivile Ausführung des HK416, welches bei zahlreichen regulären und spezialisierten Kräften des Militärs sowie der Polizei im Dienst steht. Das MR223 entspricht qualitativ dem HK416 und erfüllt annhähernd alle Anforderungen seines militärischen Pendants. Als indirekter Gasdrucklader arbeitet das MR223 mit dem bewährten und zuverlässigen Antriebssystem des G36. Im Gegensatz zu direkt angetriebenen AR-Systemen bleibt das Systemgehäuse des MR223 beim Schießen nahezu sauber. So schießt das MR223 auch dann noch reibungslos weiter, wenn andere Selbstladegewehre bereits stören und ihren Dienst quittieren.
Das MR223 ist in den Rohrlängen 11, 14.5 und 16.5 Zoll erhältlich. Die kaltgehämmerten und hartverchromten Präzisionsrohre sind freischwingend und sorgen für erstklassige Treffergebnisse. Dies gilt sowohl für schießsportliche Disziplinen als auch für das jagdliche Schießen. Der Slim Line Handschutz mit HKey-Schnittstellen sitzt passgenau auf der verlängerten Rohrmutter und bietet eine Vielzahl an individuellen Sonderausstattungsmöglichkeiten. Die ausziehbare Slim Line Schulterstütze macht das MR223 extrem führig und mittels Rastpositionen kann sie optimal auf die Länge zum Körper eingestellt werden. Der aufgeweitete Magazintrichter unterstützt schnelle Magazinwechsel und ist für Magazine nach NATO-STANAG-Standard kompatibel.
Die ergonomische Bauform des MR223 stellt mit seinen beidseitigen Bedienelementen eine ausgewogene Kombination aus Handling und Kontrolle dar. Alle Bedienfunktionen sind anwenderfreundlich gestaltet und gut erreichbar positioniert. Hierdurch werden schnelle Wechsel von Rechts- auf Linksanschlag ermöglicht und somit auch die problemlose Bedienung durch Linksschützen.
