The Varminter bullet from Sierra Bullets is a partial jacket or hollow point bullet with a thin bullet jacket and lead core. As the name suggests, the Varminter bullet is designed for classic varmint hunting – that is, hunting predators like foxes and small game like rabbits. In varmint hunting, small targets must be accurately addressed from relatively long distances, which poses no difficulty for the Sierra Varminter bullet. Thanks to the thin bullet jacket and the soft lead core, a rapid expansion upon impact is achieved. At sufficiently high speeds, it is also possible for the bullet to completely disintegrate. Coupled with the optimal ballistic coefficient, this Sierra bullet is ideally suited for all possible hunting scenarios on the smallest predators.

Das Varminter Geschoss von Sierra Bullets ist ein Teilmantel- oder Hohlspitzgeschoss mit dünnem Geschossmantel und Bleikern. Wie der Name schon vermuten lässt, ist das Varminter Geschoss für die klassische Varmintjagd – also die Jagd auf Raubwild wie Füchse und Kleinwild wie Hasen - konzipiert. Bei der Varmintjagd müssen kleinste Ziele aus verhältnismäßig großen Entfernungen präzise angesprochen werden, was für das Sierra Varminter Geschoss keine Schwierigkeit darstellt. Dank des dünnem Geschossmantels und dem weichem Bleikern wird eine schlagartige Expansion im Ziel erreicht. Bei genügend hoher Geschwindigkeit ist es außerdem möglich, dass sich das Geschoss vollständig zerlegt. Gepaart mit dem optimalen Ballistik-Koeffizienten ist dieses Sierra Geschoss so optimal für alle möglichen Jagdszenarien auf kleinstes Raubwild geeignet.
