Nickel-metal hydride batteries are manufactured to the same specifications as commercially available batteries, but are significantly more environmentally friendly. The cathode is made of nickel hydroxide, and the anode is made of metal hydride. The energy density of these batteries is sometimes twice as high as that of Ni-Cd batteries.
For Ni-Mh batteries, there are 7.2 volts, 8.4 volts, 9.6 volts, 10.8 volts, and 12 volts batteries. In AEG weapons, Ni-Mh batteries can be used starting from 7.2 volts. For S-AEGs, the lower limit is 8.4 volts. A 9.6-volt battery is recommended to avoid gearbox jams.
The capacity of a battery is specified in mAh. The capacity in mAh indicates how long the battery can be used until it is empty.

Die Nickel-Metallhydrid-Akkus werden baugleich zu handelsüblichen Batterien hergestellt, sind aber wesentlich umweltfreundlicher. Die Kathode ist aus Nickel-Hydroxid, die Anode aus Metallhydrid. Die Energiedichte dieser Akkus ist teils doppelt so groß wie bei Ni-Cd-Akkus.
Bei Ni-Mh Akkus gibt es 7,2 Volt, 8,4 Volt, 9,6 Volt, 10,8 Volt und 12 Volt Akkus. Bei AEG Waffen können Ni-Mh Akkus ab 7,2 Volt eingesetzt werden. Bei S-AEGs liegt die Untergrenze bei 8,4 Volt. Empfehlenswerter zur Vermeidung von Gearbox-Jams ist ein 9,6 Volt Akku.
Die Kapazität eines Akkus wird in mAh angegeben. Die Kapazität in mAh gibt an wie lange man den Akku nutzen kann, bis er leer ist.
