The ORYX bullet gains its special properties through the unique composite process developed by NORMA, in which the core and jacket fuse together. The ORYX-SILENCER series impresses with reduced muzzle flash and significantly higher effectiveness compared to conventional hunting cartridges from short rifle barrels. This achieves high penetration power, and despite strong bone impacts, there is no fragmentation of the bullet. Upon impact with soft tissue, the desired strong expansion occurs for optimal instantaneous effect. Standard ammunition is typically designed for barrels of about 61 cm in length.
