Spúšť využíva konštrukciu SEAL'd (Sear Engagement Adjustment Lock – zaistenie nastavenia záberu spúšťovej páky), ktorá zjednodušuje obsluhu. Odpor spúšte je plne nastaviteľný v rozsahu 2 – 4 lb (cca 0,91 – 1,81 kg), z výroby 3 lb (cca 1,36 kg), a spúšť zakaždým poskytne ostrý, čistý zlom.
Timney vyrába spúšte od roku 1946. Každá spúšť je pred odoslaním ručne testovaná a kalibrovaná v zbraňovom systéme, pre ktorý je určená.
