STORIA e TECNICA: Lo Smith & Wesson Model 66, noto anche come "Combat Magnum Stainless", è la controparte in acciaio inox del Model 19, uno dei revolver più iconici del XX secolo. Presentato nel 1955 su telaio medio (K-frame), è stato progettato in collaborazione con il leggendario Bill Jordan per offrire la potenza del 357 Magnum in un'arma più leggera e portatile rispetto ai massicci telai N dell'epoca. Fu prodotto dal 1957 al 1999 in 3 lunghezze di canna, 2-1/2", 4" e 6"
Il Model 66 fu introdotto nel 1970 per fornire agli operatori un’arma con una ben maggiore resistente all’ossidazione e all’usura rispetto al 19
