Varmista renkaan sama halkaisija: Merkintä 622 (millimetreinä) on renkaiden ETRTO-standardin mukainen sisähalkaisija. Se kertoo, että renkaat on tehty tismalleen saman kokoiselle vanteelle (kutsutaan yleisesti myös 28-tuumaiseksi vanteeksi).
Renkaan leveyserot: Merkinnät esimerkiksi 28- ja 32- kertovat renkaan leveyden millimetreinä. Koska renkaan leveysero on vain 4 millimetriä, lähes kaikille 28-622 koon vanteille pystytään asentamaan molemmat koot.
Mitä eroa huomaat käytössä 32-622 (leveämpi): Tarjoaa enemmän mukavuutta, vaimentaa paremmin tien tärinää ja antaa hieman enemmän pitoa esimerkiksi hiekkateillä, koska rengas vetää enemmän ilmatilaa.
28-622 (kapeampi): On hieman kevyempi ja rullaa tasaisella asfaltilla aavistuksen herkemmin, mutta on kovempi kuoppaisella tiellä.
