Światło emitowane przez laser ma długość fali 850 nm i moc 100 mW co sprawia, że jest praktycznie niezauważalne i daje gwarancję, że w czasie obserwacji pozostaniemy niewykryci przez zwierzynę. Posiada własne źródło zasilania w postaci baterii 3 V CR 123. Sprawia to, że pobór energii przez samo urządzenie nie ulega zwiększeniu więc jego efektywny czas pracy nie zmienia się. Laser posiada płynną regulację szerokości i natężenia wiązki światła i reguluje się je w zależności od odległości na jakiej prowadzimy obserwację. Uwaga! model L 2 nie jest kompatybilny z lornetkami i goglami! Do nich należy zakupić laser o oznaczeniu L 3!
