The Mosin Nagant 91/30 rifle in 7,62x54R is one of the best-known firearms of the 20th century, developed from the Russian Mosin-Nagant model 1891. Introduced into service with the Red Army in 1930, it was an updated version of the original model, adapted to modern requirements.

The rifle features a simple, durable bolt-action mechanism, a 730 mm barrel, and a magazine holding five 7,62x54mmR cartridges. The 1891/30 version was adapted for mass production and use in harsh frontline conditions. It was known for its high accuracy and reliability, making it the Soviet Union’s standard infantry weapon during World War II.

Variants of this rifle included sniper versions equipped with scopes, which Soviet snipers used with great success. To this day, the Mosin 1891/30 remains a prized piece among collectors and military history enthusiasts.

This example was manufactured in Hungary (marking 02) at the FEG (Fegyver- es Gepgyar) factory in Budapest. Hungarian Mosins, produced under Soviet license, were well made and used by the Hungarian army, as well as sold to other Eastern Bloc countries. The rifle is also fitted with a PU x3,5 scope manufactured in 1942.

Karabin Mosin Nagant 91/30 kal. 7,62x54R to jeden z najbardziej znanych modeli broni strzeleckiej XX wieku, stanowiący rozwinięcie rosyjskiego karabinu Mosin-Nagant wz. 1891.

Do dziś Mosin 1891/30 pozostaje cenionym egzemplarzem wśród kolekcjonerów i pasjonatów historii wojskowości.
