Model 19-3 produkowany był od roku 1967 do 1977.

Lufa kołkowana (Pinned Barrel): Cecha charakterystyczna dla starszych generacji S&W. Lufa jest wkręcana w ramę i dodatkowo zabezpieczana stalowym kołkiem.

Bęben z frezami (Recessed Cylinder): Komory nabojowe 6-strzałowego bębna posiadają specjalne frezy (podtoczenia), w których całkowicie chowają się kryzy usadowionych nabojów. Z rozwiązań pinned & recessed firma zrezygnować musiała na początku lat 80. w celu cięcia kosztów.

Modyfikacja podwersji -3: Główną zmianą techniczną wprowadzoną w 1967 roku w modelu 19-3 było przeniesienie śruby mocującej ramię szczerbinki (rear sight leaf screw) w inne miejsce ramy.

Spust i przyrządy: Mechanizm spustowy działa w trybie SA/DA (Single Action / Double Action). Broń wyposażono w pełni regulowaną w pionie i poziomie szczerbinkę.

Numer seryjny tego egzemplarza wskazuje na roku produkcji 1971.

Stan ogólny bardzo dobry. Obecne ślady normalnej, bardzo umiarkowanej eksploatacji. Oryginalna oksyda, oryginalne okładziny.

Rysa obwiedniowa minimalna. Na szkielecie brak jest tzw. bruzdy Magnum - która tworzy się w egzemplarzach wyeksploatowanych na skutek "przepuszczenia" dużej ilości naboi kal.357 Magnum.

Długość lufy 6 cali, bębenek sześcionabojowy, system SA/DA, rama K.

Rewolwer sprawdzony i wypróbowany przez rusznikarza.

Uwaga - obecne są tutaj tylko i wyłącznie stemple fabryczne - brak jest atestów nitro, oznaczeń eksportowych i importowych. Jest to bardzo ważne od strony kolekcjonerskiej - na rynku w Europie bowiem praktycznie wszystkie występujące rewolwery S&W takie dodatkowe oznaczenia posiadają.
