kapiszonowych, żaden z nich nie był tak rozpoznawalny jak 1858 Remington (znany
jako „New improved Navy” – kal. .36 oraz „New improved Army” - kal.
.44).
Model spotkał się
z tak pozytywnym przyjęciem wśród żołnierzy, że niekiedy wymieniali kilka innych
„Coltów” na „Remingtona New Army”.
Największą zaletą
„Remingtona” była jego wytrzymałość. „Colty” pomimo, że piękne, nie zawsze były
wystarczająco wytrzymałe i odporne, szczególnie podczas działań
wojennych.
