Oferowany egzemplarz przeszedł oczywiście amerykański program remontowy (rozpoczęty natychmiast po zakończeniu produkcji M1 Carbine - czyli w sierpniu 1945 roku). Główną zmianą (widoczną od razu) jest założona zmodyfikowana nasada bagnetu - połączona integralnie z bączkiem łoża. Jeżeli była taka potrzeba - wymieniano pierwotną szczerbinę przerzutową na zmodyfikowaną, oraz dokonywano jeszcze kilku drobnych zmian.
Tego programu remontowego uniknęło bardzo niewiele egzemplarzy broni amerykańskiej. Znalezienie Garanda M1 czy M1 Carbine bez remontu, w oryginalnej konfiguracji drugowojennej - jest bardzo trudne. Natomiast kolekcjonerskie przeróbki, idące "do tyłu" - i owszem.
