Z uwagi na konstrukcyjne pokrewieństwo, Ruger Wrangler wykorzystuje mechanizm spustowy single action wymagający każdorazowego napięcia kurka manualnie. Zapewnia to krótką drogę języka spustowego oraz jego wyjątkowo niski opór, dodatkowo jest możliwość zablokowania kurka w pół pozycji. Grubościenna kuta na zimno lufa typu Bull o długości 3.75”, gwarantuje precyzję oczekiwaną od broni do strzelań tarczowych.
