Bardzo tani pistolet samopowtarzalny, opracowany przez Toma Deeba i produkowany przez firmę Hi-Point. Mimo silnego naboju dużego kalibru (.45 ACP)  broń działa na zasadzie odrzutu swobodnego zamka, z ryglowaniem jego masą. Dlatego zamek jest podzespołem dość masywnym i ciężkim. Stała lufa poprawia celność, jest to jedna z wielu zalet JHP. Szkielet wykonany jest z polimerów, pozwoliło to na wyraźne ograniczenie masy.

Broń zasilana jest z jednorzędowego magazynka wymiennego o pojemności 9 nabojów (10 nabojów w opcji). Po wystrzeleniu ostatniego naboju z magazynka zamek pozostaje w tylnym położeniu. Broń nie ma dźwigni zwalniacza zamka więc po podpięciu nowego magazynka należy odciągnąć zamek i zwolnić go w przednie położenie. Powłoka ochronna została naniesiona za pomocą malowania proszkowego.

Broń może bezpiecznie strzelać amunicją wzmocnioną typu +P.
