Projektant Russ Kommer, swoją inspirację przy tworzeniu noża myśliwskiego znalazł w kanadyjskich górach Monashee, domu wielu dzikich gatunków zwierząt.
Długie, lekko zakrzywione ostrze, wykonano ze stali nierdzewnej 8Cr13MoV o wytrzymałości 58-60 HRC. Ostrze posiada obustronny kołek ułatwiający jego wysunięcie. Nad bezpieczeństwem użytkownika czuwa blokada Locking Liner. Rękojeść posiada okładziny z czarnej termoplastycznego tworzywa, zapewnia ona pewny chwyt w każdych warunkach.
Dodatkowo w CRKT Monashee zastosowano system Field Strip, umożliwiający rozłożenie noża bez potrzeby użycia narzędzi. Całość dopełnia dołączony klips mocujący.
