Introdotto a partire dal 1915 questo revolver a doppia azione fu destinato, per il calibro, agli inglesi ed una parte ai canadesi. 59.150 furono consegnati all’esercito inglese e 14.500 a quello canadese nella successiva versione MARK II. Versione militare con “Broad Arrow” dell’esercito unitamente ai banchi tipici inglesi. Brunitura originale con i normali segni e sbiancature da porto in fondina. Guancette in noce con zigrini sani, originali e coeve con i medaglioncini di casa Smith nella versione “gold”. Meccanica ottima e canna bella. Canna da 6 pollici, spinata. Punzoni militari di reparto incussi nel telaio. Interessante e non comune variante, rimane un pezzo di pregio per una collezione nel vasto mondo Smith & Wesson. Calibro .455.
