End of production on April 29, 1897.
The infantry rifle 89 was used until after World War II in the Landsturm.
It should be noted that the infantry rifle 89 is not suitable for the use of the rifle cartridge 11 (7.5mm GP11) due to its weaker construction (rear locking lugs). This can lead to dangerous accidents.

Schluss der Fabrikation am 29. April 1897.
Das Infanteriegewehr 89 wurde bis nach dem 2. Weltkrieg beim Landsturm eingesetzt.
Es ist zu beachten, dass das Infanteriegewehr 89 aufgrund seiner schwächeren Konstruktion (hinten liegende Verschlusswarzen) nicht für die Verwendung der Gewehr Patrone 11 (7.5mm GP11) geeignet ist. Dies kann zu gefährlichen Unfällen führen.
