27 liters · Hiking · Vent Comfort
Tatonka Norix 27: compact hiking backpack with clear touring role The Norix 27 is designed for day hikes, hunting trips, and light hut tours where mobility and load control matter more than maximum volume.
Black-Raptor classification: 27 liters is strong if you pack consciously. For bulky winter gear or self-sufficient multi-day tours, this class quickly becomes too small.
Does the Norix 27 fit your use?
Fits well if … … you carry rain jacket, water, food, first aid, and light extra clothing for a clearly defined tour day.
… you want a compact format with hip and chest straps instead of a simple daypack.
Fits less if … … you want to take a tent, sleeping system, lots of provisions, or winter gear.
… you need a large load backpack for heavy, bulky equipment.
What the design brings in practice
Vent Comfort The carrying system aims for a stable yet ventilated fit. Correct adjustment of shoulder, chest, and hip straps remains crucial.
Snow skirt & compression The pack sack with snow skirt and compression straps help keep the contents compact. This reduces swinging when the backpack is not fully packed.
Hiking pole holder Poles can be attached outside without blocking the interior. Parts attached outside should still fit snugly.
Colors In the shop, the variants nougat and titan grey are available
Choice. Features and price remain the same.
Limits & typical bad purchases
27 liters don’t replace a trekking backpack. The most common bad purchase happens when the volume is chosen only by "bigger is better" or conversely too tight. Plan your real packing list and reserve some space for clothing or food instead of letting gear dangle outside.
Technical data with practical interpretation
27 l volume Suitable for day hikes and reduced short trips; conscious packing is more important than reserve volume.
55 × 25 × 14 cm Relatively slim dimensions support mobility on trails, in the forest, and when getting in or out.
approx. 1.13 kg The empty weight still leaves room for tour load without entering the class of large trekking backpacks.
Material Microrip 2.1 and 210 HD Nylon FD; PFC/PFAS-free impregnation according to available product data.
Scope of delivery
1× Tatonka Norix 27 in the chosen color variant.
Pack safely
Place heavy items as close to the body and centered as possible. Rain jacket, map, lamp, or first aid belong where they can be reached without completely emptying the pack. Secure external loads tightly.
FAQ
Is the Norix 27 suitable for multi-day tours? It can work for very reduced hut tours. For self-sufficient multi-day tours with a sleeping system and lots of provisions, 27 liters is usually too tight. Which color changes the features? None. The nougat and titan grey variants differ only in color according to shop data. What is the compression important for? It compresses unused volume and keeps the contents closer to the back. This improves load control with partial loading.
Black Raptor · clearly classified
The Norix 27 is a sensible hiking backpack if your packing list fits in 27 liters. Its advantage is not maximum capacity but a controllable format for movement-oriented tours. (Show description in original language)
