With the Merkel Helix Speedster Scout, Merkel presents one of the most innovative hunting rifles of its generation. It combines the legendary speed of the Helix system with a revolutionary stock concept, uncompromising safety, and maximum practicality. The result is a modern repeating rifle for hunters who demand the highest standards of ergonomics, precision, and handling.

At the heart of the Speedster Scout is the globally proven Helix linear system. Thanks to the unique translation of the straight pull bolt in a 1:2 ratio, an extremely short cycling distance is sufficient to deliver lightning-fast follow-up shots. The eye remains on the target at all times, as the bolt moves exclusively within the system housing. No annoying backward movement of the chamber towards the face, no loss of the sight picture – maximum control in every hunting situation.

For maximum safety, the proven manual cocking system on the stock neck ensures that the weapon is only cocked just before the shot with a light thumb pressure and can be quickly uncocked again. This safety concept is complemented by the patented hammer system of the Helix, which guarantees maximum ignition energy and an absolutely reliable shot release even under the most adverse conditions.

A special highlight is the newly developed SpeedStock with OmegaGrip. Merkel has completely reinterpreted the classic hole stock principle and combined the advantages of a hole stock with the speed of an open hunting stock. The thumb intuitively glides along the ergonomic stock contour when cycling and automatically returns to the shooting position. The result is faster follow-up shots, a relaxed stance, and previously unmatched ergonomics.

The height-adjustable MemoryCheek stock comb ensures a reproducible head position at all times. At the push of a button, the cheek piece silently returns to the pre-set position, ensuring perfect alignment with the scope.

The robust plastic construction of the SpeedStock impresses with grippy soft-touch inserts on the pistol grip, forend, and stock back. Thanks to the interchangeable stock cap carrier, the stock length can be adjusted without tools to suit different clothing or the shooter. The straight stock line also reduces muzzle jump and directs the recoil in a controlled manner into the shoulder.

Another unique feature is the revolutionary Bolt Barrel System. With just a few simple steps, the Helix Speedster Scout can be disassembled without tools. The barrel and bolt head can be removed within seconds, reducing the weapon to an extremely compact transport size. At the same time, this system offers maximum security against unauthorized use, as the bolt head can be stored separately.
