Blaser has made several improvements to their successful model R8 Professional Silence with the effective integral silencer, ensuring that the modules retain full compatibility with the rifles of the 1st generation. Here are some of the modifications of the R8 Professional 2.0 Silence, a robust repeating rifle that can withstand adverse weather conditions:
The Stock
The one-piece stock – here in Dark Olive – features elastomer inserts on the grip surfaces, which, with the new, improved structure, feel pleasant in the hands, even in wet and cold conditions. The inserts are no longer glued as before and thus prone to wear, but are an integral part of the stock. The pistol grip is steeper than in the previous model, featuring a palmswell on both sides, making the rifle suitable for both right- and left-handed shooters. The stock comb is adjustable by up to 30 mm at the push of a button, and the length of the buttstock can be varied with optionally available modules. The stock pad noticeably reduces recoil. The stock is designed to accommodate a barrel with an integral silencer.
