The Blaser R8 Professional 2.0 – here in Dark Olive – represents a worthy successor to the proven R8 Professional rifle with its innovations.
Thanks to its durable synthetic stock, the R8 Professional bolt-action rifle withstands even the harshest conditions. Blaser has now made some improvements to its successful model while ensuring that the modules retain full compatibility with the 1st generation rifles. Here are some of the modifications of the R8 Professional 2.0:
the system, which is firmly connected to the stock, achieves even better precision,
the buttstock can be adjusted in length with two optional modules, and its comb is height-adjustable,
the palmswell has been ergonomically optimized, making the rifle suitable for both right- and left-handed shooters,
a new surface texture of the firmly attached elastomer grip inserts provides a better grip,
a weight optimization of around 100 g increases maneuverability, and
the barrel surface is optimally protected against corrosion thanks to its DLC A+ coating.
The Stock The one-piece stock – here in Dark Olive – is equipped with elastomer inserts on the grip surfaces, which feel pleasant in the hands with the new, improved texture, even in wet and cold conditions. The inserts are no longer glued on as before and thus prone to wear, but are now an integral part of the stock. The pistol grip is steeper than in the predecessor model, featuring a palmswell on both sides, making the rifle suitable for both right- and left-handed shooters. The stock comb can be adjusted by up to 30 mm at the push of a button, and the length of the buttstock can be varied with optionally available modules. The stock cap noticeably reduces recoil.
The System The system housing is firmly connected to the stock in the R8 Professional 2.0. This further enhances precision. The manual cocking system guarantees the safety familiar from the R8 by relaxing the firing spring. The tension occurs only immediately before the shot by pushing the cocking slider forward. The straight-pull repeater can be quickly reloaded, and the dry-standing direct trigger made of polymer has a trigger weight of 750 g.

Blaser hat jetzt bei ihrem Erfolgsmodell einige Verbesserungen vorgenommen und dabei darauf geachtet, dass die Module ihre volle Kompatibilität mit den Gewehren der 1. Generation behalten. Hier einige der Modifikationen der R8 Professional 2.0:
durch das fest mit dem Schaft verbundene System wird eine noch bessere Präzision erreicht,
der Hinterschaft ist durch zwei optionale Module in der Länge anpassbar und sein Rücken in der Höhe verstellbar,
der Palmswell wurde ergonomisch optimiert, die Büchse ist für Rechts- und Linksschützinnen und -schützen geeignet,
eine neue Oberflächenstruktur der fest verbundenen Elastomer-Griffeinlagen sorgt für einen besseren Griff,
eine Gewichtoptimierung um rund 100 g erhöht die Führigkeit und
die Laufoberfläche ist dank ihrer DLC A+ Beschichtung optimal gegen Korrosion geschützt.
Der Schaft Der einteilige Schaft – hier in Dark Olive – ist an den Griffflächen mit Elastomer-Einlagen versehen, die mit der neuen, verbesserten Struktur haptisch angenehm in den Händen liegen, auch bei Nässe und Kälte. Die Einlagen sind nicht mehr wie früher aufgeklebt und somit anfällig für Verschleiß, sondern fester Bestandteil des Schafts. Der Pistolengriff ist steiler als beim Vorgängermodell, er hat beidseitig einen Palmswell, so dass die Büchse für Rechts- und Linksschützinnen und -schützen geeignet ist. Der Schaftrücken ist per Knopfdruck um bis zu 30 mm verstellbar, die Länge des Hinterschafts kann mit optional erhältlichen Modulen variiert werden. Die Schaftkappe mindert den Rückstoß spürbar.
Das System Das Systemgehäuse ist bei der R8 Professional 2.0 fest mit dem Schaft verbunden. Damit wird die Präzision nochmals gesteigert. Das Handspannsystem garantiert die von der R8 gewohnte Sicherheit mittels Entspannung der Schlagfeder. Die Spannung erfolgt erst unmittelbar vor dem Schuss durch das Vorschieben des Spannschiebers. Der Geradezug-Repetierer ist schnell nachladbar, der trockenstehende Direktabzug aus Polymer hat ein Abzugsgewicht von 750 g.
