The DisplayThe 640x400 px AMOLED screen is energy-efficient and frost-resistant. The helpful picture-in-picture (PiP) function shows you a zoomed image of the observation object in a frame in the upper display field if needed. You can enhance the sensitivity of thermal detection in three levels to differentiate the object and background even more clearly. Additionally, filter algorithms and fine adjustments of brightness and contrast improve the quick detection and identification of animals – regardless of the weather. Depending on individual needs and environmental situations, you can choose from 8 color palettes to adjust the image:
- Hot White, Hot Black, and Hot Red are optimal for object detection,
- Rainbow and Ultramarine for identification, and
- Red Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet for nighttime long-term observations.
The DeviceThe Axion XG30 Compact also shines with its tactile qualities. It fits well in the hand, which does not cramp even during prolonged use. Its symmetrical design with the arrangement of buttons on the top makes it perfectly operable with both hands. Difficult environmental conditions are not an issue. The housing is made of a magnesium alloy, protecting the sensitive interior from impacts, falls, moisture, and extreme temperatures. Additionally, the metal dissipates heat from the electronics, contributing to improved image quality. The device is waterproof according to IPX7 and can withstand being submerged in up to 1 m of water for 30 minutes. The Axion XG30 Compact has a ¼’’ thread for mounting on a tripod.
Long Operating TimeThe APS3 battery allows for continuous operation of the Axion XG30 Compact thermal imaging device for up to 7 hours. The battery is easy to replace in no time. Charging is quick either in the charger or in the device via USB Type-C cable. You can also permanently power the instrument via an external power source, for example, during stationary use.
Camera and ConnectivityWith the integrated camera, you can document your observations and the tracking process of game with a resolution of 960x600 px as a .jpg photo and as a .mp4 video. The internal 64 GB memory holds a considerable amount of data.
