Blaser is launching a contemporary copper bullet with the Blaser CDC (Controlled Deformation Copper). In its design, Blaser was able to draw on the experience of the renowned ammunition manufacturer Barnes, which has been developing lead-free bullets for over 30 years. The goal of this development was to create a bullet with consistently good deformation properties while also improving ballistic values. This objective has now been realized with the Blaser CDC bullet on the market.
The bullet stands out from other lead-free bullets due to a slight reduction in bullet weight. The relatively high weight ensures excellent precision and directional stability even upon entering the game. Additionally, the weight maintains the extraordinary deformation properties over a wide range of distances and speeds. The deformation characteristics are primarily due to the specially designed expansion cavity and the concealed hollow point in the front part of the CDC bullet. This interplay creates high mortality. The uniform mushrooming of the bullet further protects the game meat from splintering.
The copper bullet has been specifically designed for hunting lighter to medium game. Thus, Blaser's new ammunition meets all the needs of hunters in Central Europe. To ensure the quality of this design, the bullets are manufactured by Barnes and loaded at Norma.
